The Department of Agrarian Development (DAD) is ready to share recently surveyed 1.6 million paddy land parcel data with the Survey Department (SD) while the SD is also ready to conditionally share 2.6 million Cadastral and Sporadic land parcel data with DAD. An MOU was signed between DAD and SD for data sharing on the “Surveyor’s Day” held on 2024.03.21. Signing the MOU is a milestone and it marks the beginning of a lone journey among government institutions to pave the path towards a better economy for the country.

This is to facilitate the application of chemicals to protect the documents from pest infestation. As a result, no documents will be issued to the public on the day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Survey department of Sri Lanka will proudly commemorate it's 225th anniversary on the 2nd of August. To mark this special occasion, the Department will launch a new Online Map Shop, issue a commemorative postage stamp, release a First Day Cover, and publish the 91st issue of the Surveyor Journal. These initiatives highlight the Department’s long-standing contribution to the nation and its ongoing commitment to innovation and public service.
