Other Statutory Surveys
Statutory surveys are carried out in accordance with an Act or Ordinance for statutory purposes only. These surveys undertaken by the Department are mainly divided in to four groups, such as acquisition surveys, surveys for vesting, surveys for disposal of state land and surveys for land settlement. The above surveys mentioned are made according with the settlement officers requirement and the rest are done as a rule of sporadic nature at the requested of government agent NHDA and local bodies etc. Now the Survey Department has already commenced cadastre surveys under the registration of title act No. 21 of 1998. Therefore all statutory surveys that have been carried out for statutory purpose up to the time of preparation of cadastre map will be utilized for the preparation of cadastre plans
